At Addiyon, we strive to maintain a trustworthy, safe, and transparent marketplace for all buyers and sellers. This Listing & Content Policy sets out the standards that all listings, images, descriptions, and user interactions must meet.

By posting an item or service on Addiyon, you agree to abide by these guidelines. Listings that violate these rules will be removed, and repeat or serious violations may result in account termination.

The following items and services may never be listed, advertised, or sold on Addiyon:

• Weapons & Dangerous Items: Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, military equipment, knives intended as weapons, or hazardous chemicals.
• Controlled Substances & Medications: Illegal drugs, narcotics, prescription medications, medical devices requiring a prescription, and unregulated weight-loss or performance supplements.
• Counterfeit & Replica Goods: Unauthorized copies of branded goods, counterfeit electronics, pirated software, fake currency, or stolen intellectual property.
• Adult & Sexually Explicit Material: Pornographic media, adult toys, sexual enhancement products, or escort/prostitution services.
• Stolen Property: Stolen goods, devices with iCloud/Google FRP lock, or items with missing, altered, or defaced serial numbers.
• Endangered Wildlife: Live animals requiring special permits, ivory, protected wildlife, or animal parts banned by Ethiopian law.
• Financial Scams: Multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick programs, unauthorized loan services, or fraudulent crypto schemes.

To ensure high marketplace quality and fairness, all listings must adhere to these standards:

• Honest Pricing: List the true asking price in Ethiopian Birr (ETB). Do not use placeholder prices (such as 0, 1, or 12345 ETB) to game search rankings.
• Accurate Descriptions: Clearly describe the item, its make, model, age, and any known defects or wear.
• Authentic Photos: Use clear, actual photos of the item being sold. Do not use watermarked competitor photos or stock images that conceal defects.
• No Duplicate Spam: Do not post the same item multiple times across different categories or locations.
• Correct Category: Post your item in the category that best matches its primary function.

We use both automated detection systems and manual review to identify non-compliant listings:

• Listing Removal: Non-compliant listings are promptly rejected or removed from search and public feeds.
• Account Action: Accounts that repeatedly violate content rules or attempt fraud are permanently suspended.
• Legal Escalation: Severe violations involving illegal weapons, child exploitation, or active fraud will be reported to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
